The Internet Governance Caucus (IGC) is a civil society network on Internet governance and Internet rights. It originated from a collaboration among civil society participants during the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) with the aim of advancing global public interest goals in Internet governance policymaking. Its primary objective is to serve as a platform for dialogue, advocacy, and action, representing civil society's contributions in shaping Internet governance processes.
The caucus facilitates discussions on various Internet governance issues, aiming to foster open debate, share expertise, and coordinate advocacy efforts within civil society. Additionally, the IGC seeks to inform and engage progressive groups and individuals on developments impacting Internet governance policies, while also collaborating with stakeholders to implement projects and policies towards achieving better Internet governance.
